ganesh fest @ puneri style

ganesh festival is all the same be it mumbai or pune is what i used to think until this year after having setttled down in pune and walking the the streets to see the many beautiful pandals did i discover that pune has a rich tradition that goes into the making of this fest .
every big mandal which is among the top ones is given a number and called manacha ganpati ,and thats the way the visrjan is planned too. What tilak started as a way to get people together for getting us freedom is so alive in every lane in pune .
and whats more mirchi modka service and appa n bappa on radio mirchi have made it so much more fun!! not to mention " kho kho chala ganpati baghalya " a show hosted by a guy who talks in the typical marathi accent and can be quite annoying at times but has done a fairly decent job this time arnd .
ofcourse the one thing i enjoyed most was going to see dagduseth halwai ganpati with p and t .
we walked around and saw many other theme based sarvajanik pandlas , purchased colorfull glass bangles , ate bhutta , and clicked away to glory using our camera phones !
all in all a fun time , something i can't possibly imagine doing in mumbai essp the walking around bit .

Salaam Radio !

my mind fresh out of watching lage raho at a local mutilpex , Radio i feel suddenly has become such an imp part of films , first it was preity finding love on radio on salaam namaste , then it was a bunch of young college boys attaining martyrdom thanx to being able to connect to the world through all india radio and now its vidya balan saying " good morning mumbai" with must enthusiasm in lage raho .
maybe it cause we cant call anyone on tv and talk to them while radio is becoming more and more exciting what with worldpace giving us " so much to hear"
whoever said" video killed the radio star" didnt know what he was talking abt i guess !

Breakdown

(FIT ?? - Maybe like neately fitted white kitchen platform tiles wiped squeaky clean by Joanne who's expecting Baby No 3 and Johns just back after a hard days toil in the coal mine? Maybe )
